You don’t need to know the difference between a three-card and a Celtic cross to get the most out of a tarot card reading. All you need: your sun sign! Here’s what I do: shuffle my tarot deck and take out the cards in order from Aries to Pisces plus one general card for everyone so you can get specific advice on your personality. Let’s go!
A GENERAL CARD FOR ALL: DEATH
Death is not a bad tarot card, although I know it can be scary when it appears! In the tarot, death means transformation. It represents the end of a cycle as a new one emerges. So this week is a week to notice the coming endings in your world. What took its natural course? What seems almost finished? What no longer serves you? Get ready to post it and move on, knowing that it really is the start of something new.
ARIES: ACE OF PENTACLES
Looking for a new goal, Aries. You like to work for something; it makes you fire on all cylinders. This goal should be ambitious, inspiring and, ideally, long-term. This shouldn’t be something you can accomplish in a week – aim for more than one year. Pick something related to work, money, health, or home. Think: saving for something big, making a really positive lifestyle change, or changing careers. You decide.
TAURUS: THE EMPRESS
Did you know that The Empress is one of *your* tarot cards? She is ruled by Venus, just like you. Its presence this week means that love is all around you, and you should value your relationships where there is genuine love and affection. Clear your schedule so you can focus on the people this week: your partner, your friends, your family, your co-worker, and even your pets. Go hang out with your favorite people. You’ll feel great for weeks.
GEMINI: TEN OF WANDS
Gem, you’ve done too much again. We talked about it! Your brain is spinning at millions of miles an hour and you don’t need to put extra pressure on it. But you have. So here you are approaching burnout. The Ten of Wands invites you to take a break. Streamline your schedule. Take time to rest. Dream more. If you do this, you will have a great week ahead of you!
CANCER: SIX OF WANDS
Hello, Six of Wands, good to see you! This is an excellent tarot card, signaling to be in the right place at the right time. This week, let your famous intuition lead you to a wonderful encounter that brings success. You deserve it, Cancer. You work hard, do your best, and show up to others all the time. I think it’s time for karma to pay you a visit, don’t you?
LEO: THREE OF SWORDS
Lion, someone hurt you, and there’s no point in shoving it under the rug. The Three of Swords asks you to pace yourself to let those feelings surface. They are valid and you must process them in order to release them and proceed to the next step. What is this next step? Eliminate the source of this pain and suffering from your life. Get rid of it! It makes no sense to keep this person close to you when they have behaved so badly. They showed you what they think of you, believe them and move on.
VIRGO: SEVEN OF CUP
You’re way more imaginative and creative than people realize, Virgo. You are ruled by Mercury, the planet of intelligence, after all. The Seven of Cups lets you have all kinds of wonderful daydreams, ideas, and inspirations this week. Get a journal and write EVERYTHING. Some of your ideas might not make sense right now, but they might turn into a solid goal eventually. Write everything down. You can use it as a boost for months to come.
LIBRA: EIGHT OF SWORDS
You risk spoiling something for yourself because you project your own worries or fears onto it. The Eight of Swords warns us of being caught in mental prisons of our own making. To know, projection. We all do it, but you have to pay attention to it this week. Escape this trap. All that will happen is that you will turn away from a good thing, for no good reason.
SCORPIO: NINE OF WANDS
It’s not as bad as they claim, Scorpio, and you can handle it all without even breaking a sweat. Carry on with that. Do what you were going to do and ignore the enemies. The Nine of Wands is an assurance that you KNOW what you are doing. Yes, there is a problem, but it is not insoluble. Once you solve it, you can move forward.
Stop comparing your progress or performance to that of others. The only comparison you should make, if any, is with your background. Look how far you’ve come, how you’ve changed, and what you’ve accomplished. Well done. Judgment reveals that when you fully accept yourself and know your strengths, you can build the ~right path~ for you. There is a niche in this perfect world for you, and you are about to find it.
CAPRICORN: PENTACLES PAGE
The Pentacles Page is the tarot deck’s student card, asking you to undertake a project in order to build your skills and confidence. It could be career related (maybe even for a new career path?). It could also be just for fun and inspiration, although it might come later. Look at a skill you want to develop or an area you want to learn more about. The universe wants you to go back to school!
Truth is your major trait. You believe in being honest at all times and you value honesty in others. Even when it’s painful or disturbing. Justice shows that a truth you have spoken and been punished for is about to be accepted by others. In short: you were right! Now don’t rejoice, or you might lose your victory. It took a long time to get there. Enjoy it (quietly).
PISCES: FOUR OF PENTACLE
Shake it off, Pisces. It’s time for a change. You need a new scene and a new opportunity. The Four of Pentacles shows you’ve been stuck in a rut recently, and it’s gotten a little constricting and boring. You need a break! Travel different routes, meet new people, change your social schedule, go somewhere new. It is a matter of change.
