It’s all about intuition.

Intrigued by the tarot? “Tarot is an extremely useful introspection tool for those who are open to exploring themselves and the energies they work with,” says the Canadian coach in clarity. Chris Corseni. We spoke to Corsini to understand how tarot card readings can help us face the New Year, so that we can enter 2022 with purpose and intention. (Find out what to expect for January 2022 with our astrological predictions.)

What are the advantages of tarot?

Tarot helps with “shadow work,” essentially, by examining the parts of ourselves that we don’t like or have learned not to like due to societal, religious, or cultural norms. “Once you start exploring tarot,” says Corsini, “you can start to question these things. You start to wonder: do I believe it? Is this something that I still support?

Note: Tarot is not divination, nor astrology. Rather, it’s a confirmation of how you are already feeling, which can help people feel empowered in their decision-making.

Can anyone use tarot cards?

Short answer: Yes. “Sit down and start drawing cards and familiarize yourself with what’s to come,” Corsini explains. “The booklets that come with the game are always very helpful, but keep in mind that this is just a starting point. For example, if you draw a card and it personally tells you something, go for it. Just because the map does not represent precisely this does not mean that your interpretation is wrong. “Your intuition will guide you better than a booklet,” he says.

Corsini recommends that all new tarot users attend a workshop; it offers them both in English and ASL on a pay-per-view basis). Podcasts are another great resource; Corsini likes Tarot for the wild soul with Lindsay Mack. Tarot Biddy courses and booklets are also a popular educational option.

How often should I draw tarot cards?

“When people start their tarot journey, I always tell them to set a limit,” Corsini explains. “You’ll go crazy if you ask all the questions and draw 35 cards a day – don’t do that.” »Create a ceremony for yourself once a week, max. Another good way to structure your tarot card readings could be every new and full moon (so twice a month) in 2022. “Draw cards for your friends or relatives if you want to add more than one reading per week. to train, ”he suggests. This is just a guideline for beginners, notes Corsini, who draws three cards every morning – one for her body, mind and soul – and asks, what energies am I working with today?

What other questions should I ask about the tarot deck?

The answer to this question will be very personal, but Corsini suggests the following to begin with: Where is my energy best served right now? Where is my attention best spent? What do I need to let go? What do I want to bring? Is it good for me? Is it something that is in line with my journey? Should I act? What is the potential outcome if I continue to behave this way?

This year is a good time to ask questions in general, Corsini says. “There is so much information going around right now. This will cause people to question their beliefs, which is good, but they can also be misled, ”he explains. “Do your research, ask more questions, talk to your friends, talk to your communities and start new ones. Be open to conversations.
