Weekly Tarot Card Reading Horoscope, August 30, 2021

You don’t need to know the difference between a three-card and a Celtic cross to get the most out of a tarot card reading. All you need: your sun sign! Here’s what I do: shuffle my tarot deck and take out the cards in order from Aries to Pisces plus one general card for everyone so you can get specific advice on your personality. Let’s go!

A GENERAL CARD FOR ALL: THE WHEEL OF FORTUNE

Raydene Salinas Hansen/Rider-Waite Bridge

Buckle up, because the wheel of fortune can be a wild ride! Metamorphosis is possible. Look into the changes and start some yourself. It’s better to be the doer than the done one, isn’t it? This card means things will turn out differently than you expected this week, so ride the waves. When the going gets tough, remind yourself that everything will be fine in the end. Get ready for a wild ride!

ARIES: FOUR OF WANDS

the four wands tarot card, showing two people in robes holding branches or flowers in front of a castle four wooden sticks stand in front of them, holding a garland of greenery

Rider-Waite Bridge/Raydene Salinas Hansen

The Four of Wands commends you on a job well done and asks you to look ahead and plan for the same. You have proven, in work or a personal project, that you can do it. Now it’s time to expand your ambitions and aim for the next goal. You like a challenge, Aries, so aim high.

BULL: FIVE PIECES

the tarot card for the five pieces, showing two people walking through a snowstorm in the background, a stained glass window shows five pieces in the shape of a pentacle insdie eadh

Raydene Salinas Hansen/Rider-Waite Bridge

If ever a sign was subject to regret, it’s you, Taurus. You HATE losing everything you already have, even if you don’t really want it anymore. You tend to get stuck in “could, should, would” thinking. The Five of Coins sees you drifting along, down Memory Lane this week, ready to pick up a scab that should be left alone. Do not do it ! Resist the urge. You can waste hours on something that’s finished or you can go have fun. Choose the latter.

GEMINI: KNIGHT OF WANDS

The Knight of Wands tarot card, showing a knight in armor riding across a desert landscape, holding a wooden staff

Rider-Waite Bridge/Raydene Salinas Hansen

Like Peter Pan, you Gemmys never really grow up. You are still indulging in the hobbies, passions, and personality of your inner child, and that child is coming out to play this week. The Knight of Wands sees you embark on an exciting quest. It can be a vacation, a course, a relationship or a hobby. Either way, it’s something fresh and inspiring, with a bit of a risk. Have fun. You deserve it.

CANCER: JUSTICE

tarot card justice, showing a person wearing a robe and crown, holding a sword, seated on a throne

Rider-Waite Bridge/Raydene Salinas Hansen

Justice is a nice karma reward for something you were right about in the past. You told them! It’s a good feeling, but don’t get carried away. Be kind. Let the defeated escape and trust that karma will take care of them. Keep your head up and move on to better things and kinder people. You don’t deserve the things that happened to you, but it all made you a stronger person.

LION: THE HIEROPHANT

the tarot card The Hierophant, showing a person in a red robe and a golden crown seated on a throne, with two people kneeling in front of them

Rider-Waite Bridge/Raydene Salinas Hansen

You have natural and powerful leadership qualities, and others automatically look to you to show them the way – that’s that lioness thing. This week you are going to do just that, with the Hierophant Spirit Map. You step up and model something dignified, positive, and yes, maybe a little spiritual. You have this!

VIRGO: STRENGTH

strength tarot card a woman in a white dress strokes a lion

Rider-Waite Bridge/Raydene Salinas Hansen

Strength is a wonderful tarot card representing the many shades of strength we acquire over our lifetimes. It is not just about physical strength, but about qualities such as courage, confidence, wisdom, compassion and endurance. You feel strong this week. Others have noticed a change in you recently, and it’s because you’ve applied the lessons of the difficulties you’ve been through. You have grown. You are strong, Virgo. Use it well.

LIBRA: THREE OF WANDS

the three wands tarot card, showing a view from the back of a person in a robe who is holding a wooden staff and looking at a landscape, with two other wooden staffs sticking out of the ground behind them

Raydene Salinas Hansen/Rider-Waite Bridge

It’s party time, Libra! The Three of Wands is a YOLO card, reminding us that we’re here for a while, not long. Get busy living and creating magical memories with people you love and love. Let your hair down and let go. You need that indulgence, and you’ll have the time of your life if you say “yes” to whatever lies ahead.

SCORPION: TWO PIECES

The Two Coins tarot card, showing a figure in a short tunic and tall hat holding two giant coins with a pentacle engraved on them, one in each hand

Raydene Salinas Hansen/Rider-Waite Bridge

Don’t put all your eggs in one basket, Scorpio. Life is chaotic and we never know what’s going to happen, so it’s wise to keep your options open. The Two of Coins asks you to broaden your horizons, widen your circle, and push your limits this week. Do more with more people, more often. You may be inclined to hide. Step out of the shadows, Scorpio!

SAGITTARIUS: KNIGHT OF THE COINS

the tarot card the knight of coins or pentacles, showing a knight sitting on a horse motionless on the ground the knight is holding a giant gold coin with a star shaped pentacle on it

Rider-Waite Bridge/Raydene Salinas Hansen

Organization, paperwork, and finances call you this week, Sagittarius. Now run and pretend you don’t hear the Knight of Coins calling your attention! A week of focus on your material world (money, work, home, possessions) and the administrative stuff that supports it will serve you well in the long run. You tend to skate past this pile of paperwork, but it’s not going anywhere. Sort it all into neat, automated systems this week. You will be doing yourself a huge favor.

CAPRICORN: THE MAGICIAN

You are the kind of person who can make something out of nothing because you are so determined and attentive. When you have a great idea, the sky is the limit. And the Magician shows that a brilliant idea will emerge this week. It’s something creative and inspiring, and it plays to your greatest strength. Grab it and make it happen. You can do it.

AQUARIUS: EIGHT OF CUTTERS

the Eight of Cups tarot card, showing a person walking on a hilly shore, with eight golden cups below them

Raydene Salinas Hansen/Rider-Waite Bridge

I hate to be the one to break it to you, Aquarius, but that thing you’ve been obsessing over lately is NOT working. The Eight of Cups asks you to put down your tools, breathe and see it for what it is (not what you want it to be). Sometimes our best-laid plans don’t pan out, and it’s wise to stop and refocus. It’s for the best, I promise. The sooner you move on, the sooner your next project can begin.

PISCES: THREE OF SWORDS

the Three of Swords tarot card, showing a red heart crossed by three swords, with a rainy sky behind

Rider-Waite Bridge/Raydene Salinas Hansen

The Three of Swords is a hurtful card indicating betrayals, arguments, backstabbing and conflict. Uh, I know. It is likely that this unpleasant episode has already happened, but now you are left with the consequences. It’s time to eliminate the source of pain from your life. No excuses, second (or fifth) chances or forgiveness. Some people just don’t deserve a place in your life. Remove them. Maybe in time things will heal…or not. But now you need distance.
