Weekly Tarot Card Reading Horoscope, July 12, 2021

You don’t need to know the difference between a three-card and a Celtic cross to get the most out of a tarot card reading. All you need: your sun sign! Here’s what I do: shuffle my tarot deck and take out the cards in order from Aries to Pisces, plus a general card for everyone so you can get specific advice on your personality. Let’s go!

A GENERAL CARD FOR ALL: THE FOUR OF SWORDS

Raydene Salinas Hansen/Rider-Waite Bridge

We are all busy bees, and being busy is good. But sometimes you just have to be busy doing nothing. It’s true: Nothing. The Four of Swords is like a ~sick note~ from the cosmos, and it pops up when we need a break. Life will continue to unfold all around you – you can afford to step back and stand still. Breathe, everyone. You could use some rest.

ARIES: ACE OF SWORD

the ace of swords tarot card, showing a hand rising from the sky holding a giant sword

Raydene Salinas Hansen/Rider-Waite Bridge

The truth tends to cut both ways, Aries. We all have our own version of the truth and we all think we are right. So when you get something big on your chest – as you probably will this week, with the honest Ace of Swords – don’t be surprised if everyone disagrees with you. They also have their version of the truth. Listen to them. Don’t interrupt, but don’t back down either. Can you find a way forward that allows more than one truth to exist? Be compassionate and calm.

TAURUS: THE EMPEROR

the Emperor tarot card, showing a bearded man in a robe and crown seated on a throne

Raydene Salinas Hansen/Rider-Waite Bridge

You’re quite the boss this week, Taurus, and that’s amazing. The Emperor brings you natural authority, confidence and charisma. Others will look to you for leadership and direction, and, frankly, you are more than happy to provide it to them. Enjoy this time in the spotlight, because who knows where it might take you.

GEMINI: TEN OF SWORDS

the ten of swords tarot card, showing a person lying on the ground with ten swords behind his back

Rider-Waite Bridge/Raydene Salinas Hansen

Alright, it’s time to end something you’re embroiled in. It’s become toxic and exhausting, and I’m here to tell you that it won’t get better. The Ten of Swords is a direct, hard card to cut your losses and redirect your precious time and energy to new things. You’re wasting your time. You deserve better. You need to make that call now. End it.

CANCER: THE EIGHT OF SWORDS

the Eight of Swords tarot card, showing a person in a long robe, bound and blindfolded, surrounded by eight swords

Raydene Salinas Hansen/Rider-Waite Bridge

Secret, mysterious, psychic Cancer. Your mind is known only to you, and sometimes not even to you! The Eight of Swords reveals that you have gotten a bit lost and trapped in the mysteries of your own thoughts, and are denying something or suppressing something that you have to deal with. You can manage it. You’re only prolonging the problems this ~thing~ is creating by not acknowledging its influence and presence. Stop weaving webs, stop hiding secrets and look the truth in the eye. Then you can take care of it.

LEO: JUDGMENT

the judgment card for the tarot, showing an angel blowing a trumpet and naked people emerging from their graves

Raydene Salinas Hansen/Rider-Waite Bridge

A wonderful turning point awaits you this week, Leo. It’s a game-changing moment when you make a big decision and draw a line between the past and what comes next. It is stimulating and liberating. The judgment shows that you will return to it with great emotion and gratitude in the years to come, so savor this week and all that is happening. Experience the process of transformation mindfully and consciously. Know what you are doing and why. Life changes are coming.

BLANK: CUTS PAGE

the tarot card the page of cups, showing a youth in a tunic and tights holding a goblet of gold

Rider-Waite Bridge/Raydene Salinas Hansen

Your Mercurial mind needs stimulation and information, and you seek out new hobbies and activities that will keep your brain spinning without stressing it out from too much work or draining it from too much screen time. Go back to basics, Virgo. The mugs page asks you to review the simple (non-tech) activities you love, especially the ones you loved as a kid – think drawing, knitting, baking, skateboarding… whatever. It’s time to bring back an activity that will pass the time beautifully and boost your mental well-being.

SCALE: FIVE OF WANDS

the five of wands tarot card, showing five people holding wooden sticks, fighting against each other

Raydene Salinas Hansen/Rider-Waite Bridge

You would much rather watch the drama than play the lead role in it. Conflict makes you tremble. The Five of Wands is bringing a small gust this week, so face the music, stand firm, and get through this stormy season as fast as you can. You might find it helpful to find a ~common enemy~ that you can all target, rather than each other. Don’t be personal and you’ll be fine.

SCORPIO: THREE OF WANDS

the three wands tarot card, showing a person in a robe holding a wooden stick and looking into the distance, with two other sticks beside them

Rider-Waite Bridge/Raydene Salinas Hansen

An opportunity presents itself to you this week, Scorpio, and you must remain vigilant. The Three of Wands shows that opportunity can come through people you know, so networking and socializing should be high on your agenda this week. It’s WHO you know, not WHAT you know that you can get a head start on this week. Make the most of your circle of influence.

SAGITTARIUS: KNIGHT OF SWORDS

the tarot card The Knight of Swords, showing a knight in armor riding a galloping horse and holding his sword, as if going into battle

Rider-Waite Bridge/Raydene Salinas Hansen

The squeaky wheel gets the oil. We’ve all seen this play IRL. And now it’s your turn to squeal, Sag. The Knight of Swords reminds you that others cannot read your mind and no one else will do what is best for you. State your case, pursue your ambitions and ask for what you need this week. Be open, direct, courageous and confident. Sky is the limit.

CAPRICORN: TWO OF CUP

the Two Cups tarot card, showing a woman in white robes and a man in yellow page attire facing each other, holding goblets, with a winged lion above them

Your closest relationship is your priority this week, Cap. You go above and beyond to make up for something, to take things to the next level, or just to make sure your loved one knows how much they mean to you. Sentimentality and grand gestures aren’t part of your usual playbook, so your SO/crush/BFF will be even more surprised and touched by your thoughtfulness. Go ahead make their day. They’ll get yours back to you right away.

AQUARIUS: PAGE OF SWORDS

the tarot card the page of swords, showing a youth in a tunic and tights standing on top of a hill, holding a sword

Rider-Waite Bridge/Raydene Salinas Hansen

The Swords page is a good tarot reflection of your astrological sign: intellectual, analytical, detached and rational. He’s showing up this week because you’re trying to get an objective perspective on something that’s causing you conflict or stress. Making up your mind is hard, but until you make up your mind, you will feel unsettled. You are a fixed sign and you like to know where you stand. Zoom in and focus on the problem until you figure it out. Think about your way through this.

FISH: NINE OF CUT

the Nine of Cups tarot card, showing a person in a white robe and red hat sitting with his arms crossed in front of a high table on which nine golden cups are placed

A happy, magical and lucky week awaits you, Pisces, and you deserve everything that awaits you. The Nine of Cups is a wish card come true, a ~cosmic pass~ to dream a dream and take a step towards it. You will be surprised at the openings and invitations that come before you, helping you get closer to your goals. Be lucky and live well.
