In light of the latest Phasmophobia Discord poll, Kinetic Games has decided to try to be more transparent in writing patch notes when the studio updates the game. For the first time ever, the developers are sharing the full details of the patch notes as well as details of tuning and number adjustments made in each patch. Demons and Banshees have swapped parts of their kits, and it will be interesting to see how the new reworks pan out.

What to expect from Phasmophobia Patch v0.5.2.0?

Demons have had their weakness replaced with Banshee’s, as it’s more thematic and serves as a better way to counter their strength. Kinetic Games has found that some Shades are particularly fond of showing off at the start of contracts, and the developers have called them back a bit to avoid confusion with other ghosts. In the new update, Shades will have a much lower chance of performing ghost events, and they will return to normal as players’ average sanity decreases.

Phasmophobia Patch v0.5.2.0 Patch Notes

Here are the highlights of the new update:

  • Fixed a bug where the Banshee would not switch targets after killing a player in Nightmare
  • Fixed a bug where drawing “The Tower” card at the same time a hunt was starting would cancel it
  • Fixed a bug that prevented the Ouija board from playing a sound when moving the first letter
  • Fixed a bug where the ghost could not turn lights on and off when the host was dead

The new update completely overhauls the way banshees and demons interact with players and should make the game much more engaging. To view all official patch notes, click here.
